Erin Lara joins Forensicon’s Cyber Investigator Team

Forensicon is pleased to welcome Ms. Erin Lara as the newest member of Forensicon’s Chicago-based, computer forensics investigative team.  Ms. Lara brings a wealth of experience to Forensicon, having served with the United States Air Force and the Park Forest Police Department.

Ms. Lara graduated Summa Cum Laude from American InterContinental University earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology focused in Computer Forensics while working at the Park Forest Police Department.

During Ms. Lara’s time with the Park Forest Police Department, she had the opportunity to testify numerous times in local and state courts for felony and misdemeanor cases. Notably, Ms. Lara has always prevailed in any case where she provided testimony as a Park Forest law enforcement officer.  Additionally, Ms. Lara brings fluency in Spanish and is knowledgeable in Arabic, complementing the linguistic investigative service offerings to Forensicon’s clients.

During her time in the United States Air Force, Ms. Lara completed training in electronic warfare/voice intercept, formal Iraqi dialect, and counterintelligence interview techniques. Ms. Lara held top secret security clearance from her past intelligence work in the military and during  her more recent law enforcement career with the Park Forest Police Department.

Ms. Lara is a certified language teacher in Illinois for both the Spanish and Arabic languages. Ms. Lara studied abroad in Belen, Costa Rica and is planning a trip to Spain and Morocco this summer.
